Body Power Vs Soul Power

Power is extremely dangerous tool in the hands of man. The nuclear bombs dropped in Hiroshima and Nagasaki killed hundreds and thousands of man and still a blot on the humanity. The lust of power in people caused destruction of millions of lives in the world wars and civil wars. Power always creates hatred and always detested by people. Even the people who exercise power gradually fill themselves with hatred to the world. Yet power gives the feeling of elation as the man at least for little moment tends to feel himself like God. It, therefore, corrupts the very soul of the person. It is wisely said that power corrupts and absolute power corrupts absolutely.

Yet power seems to have no substitute. The order in the world can only be maintained by power which creates fear in the people breaking the law. This fear keeps the people in the right path. Power is also associated with God and He is considered to be Omnipotent or All Powerful. He runs the world by His power and powerful man runs their nation using power at their disposal.

However good intentioned the use of power may be, it has always created hatred. All powerful people were hated by the masses on whom the power were exercised. Mussolini who tried to do public good through Fascism using the principle of equality and socialism was so hated by his own people that he was executed along with his mistress and the their bodies were taken to the Piazzale Loreto (in Milan) and hung upside down on meathooks from the roof of a gas station, then stoned by civilians from below.

Hitler is so hated that often he is compared with Satan or devil. Stalin and Mao who made their country as the most powerful nation of the world are not only hated by the world but also by their own people.

If power always creates hatred, why people seek it so desperately?

The Root Cause of Power

Despite of the hatred generated by power, people always felt attracted towards power. . No animal except man desire more power than the nature has bestowed him. Every creature seems to be satisfied with his power except man. Man is certainly not the most powerful species of the world as other animals like lion and elephants are far more powerful than man. Yet man rules the world due to his capacity to increase his power by combining the powers of many people.

The root cause of power comes in man is due to his sense of right and wrong. Scriptures say that man was banished from heaven as he ate fruit from the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil”. This sense of good and evil has always forced man to work for the victory of good over evil as good has been associated with God while evil has been associated with Devil or Satan. Thus man always justified acquisition of more and more power to ensure the rule of good over evil.

The kings, therefore, always identified themselves with God and sought to run the state as per the wishes of God as stated in their Scriptures. All Scriptures like Bible, Quoran and Gita exhorts the people to do good deeds and defeat the evil. Even the modern and secular states ask their citizen to follow the rule of law (be good) and punish criminals (those who break the law).

However, man has never followed the laws of the scriptures or the state blindly as they were always designed by man thereby being biased in favour of few. Hence every state has to apply force of power to ensure subjugation of people to ensure compliance.

The application of power by the state has trickle down effect on the people, who used same principle to subjugate the weaker ones. The use of raw power or physical power is found to the easiest way t ensure compliance.

The Physical Power

The use of physical power always provides quick results. Parents often use their power to intimidate the child to ensure compliance. The same principle is used in the school when the teachers use power over the student to discipline them and make them compliant.

In the modern times, communist governments across the world used physical power against their citizen for the industrial development, Cultural Revolution and transformation of the society. The countries like Russia and China became superpower by sheer application of physical power against their citizen and the world. Earlier Moguls used their physical power to rule most of the Asia and world. British and French used their superior power to colonize most of the world and rule the nations.

Yet power has always created hatred as it forces the people to follow a course of action against their wishes. A civilized sociality today is attempting to make a man like a machine which must obey the commands of the state without any reason and reaction. Any deviation from the law is sought to be punished heavily by the state power which is always resented by people.

The societies build on physical power does not last every long as the experiment of the communists countries have proved in the last few decades. People are born free and they have the right to be free.

The Soul Power

Most people are unaware of the power that is actually behind all the physical power. Man can hardly become powerful unless he unites a large number of people. The union of the people can come through the union of soul that connects all human beings to each other. Thus the real power of man comes not from his body but from the his power of the soul which like a glue can bind the souls of millions or even billions of people in a single bond.

All great leaders used their soul power to bring together millions of people together like one entity and made a powerful society. The people excercising the power of soul know that they have to desist the power of the body. While the physical power creates hatred, the power of the soul creates love. People rejoice in surrendering their power to one they love. It brings happiness when you lose in a game with your child.

Contrary to the popular perception, people became powerful not due to their muscle power but due to their soul power. Soul, being part of the Holy Spirit or God can be invoked only by the invocation of the nature of God i.e. goodness. Therefore all leaders including the most tyrant dictator acquired power not by intimidation but by invoking the soul of their fellow countrymen for doing good i.e. in accordance with the wishes of God.

Hitter, Stalin, Lenin, Mussolini or Mao became powerful by convincing the people to build a society based on the laws of God like equality, justice and goodness. People gave their life in the call of their leaders as the souls of all people seek the direction of the good. However, as these leaders became more and more powerful, they lost contact with the people and sought to use the power for their own good. This caused lose of their soul power. They tried to compensate the lose of soul power with physical power on their people and became the subject of their hatred.

The very exercise of physical power is the beginning of the end of the soul power. In a family, the parents who exercise physical power on their child soon lose their soul power and lose the faith and trust of their children and soon face their wrath. Only such parents who try to rule the family by their soul power can expect to have a loving and lasting relationship with their children.

The Key to Soul Power

How is the soul power different than the physical power? Scriptures say that human soul is the spark of the Universal Soul or God. Thus all souls of the universe are connected like the beads of the garlands through the Spirit of God. Thus soul of every person is connected with the soul of every other person or being through the all pervasive spirit which we call Supreme or God.

Thus a person invoking the soul power always feels compassion with the other people. He considers the whole humanity as his own. He suffers in their suffering and become happy in their happiness. Thus all his actions against any other person is same as what he would have done against himself or against his most loved one. Thus a man with the power of soul, communicate with others in the language of love which is otherwise not audible or seen to a man using physical power. His desire becomes the desire of the people as all souls are connected with each other. He changes the soul of the people and makes them do what he wants without uttering a single world.

The physical power, on the contrary, can be exercised when a person feels no connection with each other. Just like all bodies are different than each other, so is the emotion of the person exercising the physical power. He is totally indifferent to the feeling so the fellow human beings. Thus over a period of time, his soul loses touch with the other people and he become more and more ruthless as he can not feel the pain of other people. The disconnection of the soul of the ruled with the ruled, means that even the right things can be done only by the application of the physical force. Thus the soul of the people rebel and antagonize it against the source of power. Once the connection of the soul is broken than all people like the beads of the garlands gets scattered as the common thread has been removed. This gradually leads to the end to the regime of the powerful person.

Shun Physical Power: Use Soul Power

The root of all power is the unity of the minds and soul of people which can be achieved only by the synthesis of souls. No man achieve power except by invoking the power of soul for the right cause i.e. the good cause as enshrined in the scriptures as the nature of God. The application of physical power against the people causes his soul power to decline as the person loses his connection with his soul. Therefore, one must avoid the use of physical power at all cost in his personal and professional life else he is likely to face tremendous hatred of the people killing the soul of the person. A man without soul power loses all happiness and peace as he is filled with hatred and contempt for the people and the world.
